I have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Design, majoring in jewellery design from Unitec Institute of technology. I learnt a lot about the design process as well as the many skills required in the making of both traditional and contemporary jewellery. I have now set up my own jewellery studio. My work is inspired by both the urban and natural environments, this is due to the fact that I was brought up in the country and later moved to the 

city, both have had great influence on my life and who I have become. I work with mainly silver and plastics such as resin and acrylic, I also like to incorporate my own paintings into my jewellery as painting is another passion of mine. What draws me to the art of jewellery making is the desire to work with my hands 
on such an intimate scale creating unique and often quite beautiful objects which have special meaning to both the maker and the wearer.
