Wayne Ferguson

Since graduating with Diploma of Fine Arts in 1994, Auckland-based Wayne Ferguson has found a balance between working as an exhibition technician in museums and art galleries, running his own design company Photic Forms, and exhibiting sculptures. In 1996 Ferguson patented his lamp-fitting design, Snake Lamp design, a mythical bronze and copper limited edition lamp. By 1998, he had prototyped the Lotus Lighting System which offered the production of a modern based form, using stainless steel components. His ‘Lotus Design’ went on to be highly commended at the New Zealand Best Design Awards in 2002 Ferguson established  WF-Lamp06
Photic Forms Ltd in 2000 to manage the production and supply of a growing product range and market. His recent product range Telescopic utilising stainless and acrylic tubes focuses on static and ambient illumination.
