Susan Mouat

	Susan comes from England where she trained as a diamond mounter and gemologist. She worked with top Jewelry designers in London and Switzerland before coming to New Zealand. She taught Jewelry before setting up her own studio in 1997. I make my Jewellery so that light flashes around and over the surface due to
the way it's formed. This gives the jewellery a brilliance that catches the eye when it is worn. The movement of the trees in the wind, the ripples of the waves on the sea all have influence on my work. as do the beautiful blue and green hues of the sea. The light reflecting off the flowing lines of the metal symbolizes the movement of nature
