Journeys have taken me to many corners of the world. Some of these journeys, have been adventures involving danger, intrigue, stupidity or exploration, while others were more about research, study and cultural interaction. These experiences have created a family mythology for my children and a great inspiration for my sculpture/ body adornment.

My art work reflects, fabulous creatures of the mythology of my travels, reflecting the images that may sit on ones shoulder, as you observe your experiences in different situations. The accumulated images that you pick up and put in your back pack, that get jumbled about, carried home and at a later time are pulled out and analysed. These are my surprises, from my past, to be recreated physically in another form. Some of my sculpture involves sensuality in organic forms, asking the viewer to pickup, fondle and examine their emotions. Other objects are more fantasy, mystical or fabulous creatures of other worlds.

And yet again other work is of a ritual nature, perhaps made for some tribal ceremonial occasion. Most of my work is tactile, needing to be picked up, stroked, fondled and turned over, revealing hidden surprises. I am that leaf, being carried on the breath of time, as I have traveled through the fantastic adventures of my journeys
