Carlina Goffe

	I work in silver using gold decoratively in much of my work. My work is much influenced by forms from nature and is very much defined by the curve. I enjoy the techniques I learnt training as a silversmith of hammering ,bending and forging metal. Different forms have reoccurred in my work
especially the human form and more recently stones, cones and ferns. Despite the harshness of the materials my work displays a softness and lack hard edges with many curves in two and three dimensional forms. I like to make pieces which will be worn and enjoyed by the wearer and the on looker . I like to think that my work is modern with a classic or timeless quality too.
